Chaulgnes a la particularité d’être une commune recouverte par la forêt des Bertranges ! De plus, de nombreux monuments historiques sont à découvrir, notamment les vestiges du Vieux et Petit Charly datant du XIVème siècle ainsi que le Château du Tremblay du XIXème siècle, actuellement siège d’une clinique neuropsychiatrique. Aux fontaines de Vaux, une stèle commémorative du maquis Bernard rappelle l’importance de cet endroit lors de la 2nde Guerre Mondiale.
